This is a critical update for guests planning to visit Iheya Island between late May and mid-June 2026. Due to the temporary deployment of a substitute vessel during regular inspections, the "Ferry Iheya III" schedule will be reduced to only one round-trip per day.
Since this ferry schedule differs significantly from the usual timetable, please review your travel plans and transit connections (flights, buses, etc.) carefully.

Vehicle Transportation (Rental Cars, etc.) With only one trip per day, vehicle spaces on the ferry are expected to be extremely crowded. If you plan to bring a car onto the ferry, please make your reservation as early as possible with the operating company (Iheya Village Tourism and Transportation Division).
Connecting with Public Transportation The ferry departs Unten Port at 03:00 PM (and at 11:00 AM on June 12). Please make sure to check the travel time from Naha Airport or the Okinawa Main Island to Unten Port (via bus, taxi, etc.) in advance and allow plenty of time for your journey.
