Regarding Accommodation During Typhoons

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Hotel Nishie.

Please be advised that when a typhoon approaches and the "Ferry Iheya" evacuates to Unten Port, we are unable to ensure the safety of our guests. Therefore, we must decline all guest accommodations and temporarily close the hotel during this period. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to guests who have already made reservations. We kindly ask for your understanding.

[Suspension of Ferry Iheya]

The ferry is the only means of transporting goods to the island. When it is suspended, no supplies can enter, causing grocery stores and shops to run out of food and essential daily items.

[Potential for Power Outages Due to Severe Winds]

There is a possibility of power outages lasting several days. In that case, we have no choice but to wait for the power company to restore service after the storm passes.

Note: In the past, we experienced a one-week blackout during which air conditioning was unavailable, only cold water was accessible, and communication devices could not be charged.

[Water Outages]

The supply of essential running water may be cut off.

[Communication Failures]

Phone lines and internet connections may become unavailable.

[Full Building Closure Due to Severe Weather]

To ensure physical safety, the entire hotel building may be locked down and sealed off from the storm.

[Closure of Local Restaurants]

Almost all restaurants and dining options on the island will be closed, making it difficult to eat out.

[Ensuring Staff Safety]

During severe gales and storms, we prioritize the safety of our team members.

- Cancellation Policy -

No cancellation fees will be charged in this situation, but please be sure to contact the hotel to notify us of your cancellation.
